Are you or someone you love getting married? If the answer is yes, then congratulations! If the answer is no, that’s fine too! I’m just glad you’re here. I’m getting married this Summer, so I’ve been searching the web for cute bridesmaid box ideas. As a minimalist and conscious consumer, a lot of this wedding stuff seems super wasteful and expensive. This is why I wanted to create a minimal and affordable bridesmaid proposal box. Our motto over here is less is more (we also really love thrift shopping). Okay, so here’s what I gifted to my 2 bridesmaids (and actually they aren’t even bridesmaids, one is my maid of honor and one is my matron of honor). But now that that’s cleared up, let’s get into the bridesmaid box ideas.

As a minimalist and conscious consumer, I’m really big on thoughtful gifts, consumable gifts, and practical gifts. So I included one of each.

Bridesmaid Boxes on a Budget

What to put in bridesmaid proposal box:

1. Celebratory Drink

These little alcohol bottles are the perfect size for a one-woman celebration! If you’re like me and can’t get together with your bridesmaid/Maid of Honor/Matron of Honor in person, sending this drink is a great way to still feel like it’s a party. If your girls don’t like alcohol, you can opt for a mini bottle of sparkling cider. It’s cute, it’s little, and most importantly, it’s consumable!

2. Thoughtful Card

Get ready to bring on the tears! Adding a personal card that lists out the reasons why you love your bridesmaid is a must! This is the perfect opportunity to tell your bridesmaid/Maid of Honor/Matron of Honor why you chose them for the job and share how much they mean to you. You can opt for a photo card, handwritten letter, or a cute card. This is a thoughtful gift I think someone will keep forever.

3. Robe (aka something pratical)

Bridesmaid boxes with robes are super popular right now and it makes sense. A robe is something comfy and cozy that your bridesmaid can wear the day of. But she can also wear it after the wedding. I’d suggest opting for a robe that does not include any lingo about brides, bridesmaids, or weddings. Those robes are really designed for one-time use and don’t get used much after the wedding. Gifting a robe that is simple is your best bet to ensure it gets worn for many years.

The total of the two boxes came out to be less than $25 and each box cost under $10 to put together. I think they came out super cute and the girls seemed like they really liked them. So there you have it! A super simple and affordable bridesmaid proposal box. Hope this was helpful!

Box Cost Breakdown:

1. Champagne (pack of 4) – $10.99

2. Zazzle Cards (2) – $12.58

3. Robe (gifted from mom) – $0

4. Box Filler (saved from previous packages) – $0

5. Box (saved from previous gift) – $0
