Black and white outfits are my go-to, even on hot summer days. I probably should avoid wearing black in 100 degree weather, but I don’t really go outside that often, so it’s fine. Anyways, this black top is totally on trend with it’s off the shoulder design. It also has some bling elements to it, which I love. It’s the perfect summer outfit and it was under $10.

I purchased the black blingy Zara off-shoulder top for $1 and the black Aldo heels for $1 at the Buffalo Exchange Earth Day sale. I look forward to their sale every year because I always find so many cool items. The white American Apparel shorts were approximately $4-$5. I think I scored them from Goodwill years ago. You can’t go wrong with a simple black and white summer outfit.

Although I would never buy an item from Zara in-store for ethical reasons, I think it is okay to buy fast-fashion items secondhand. I think this because buying these items from the thrift store helps divert the items from ending up in the landfill. I also think it’s okay because my money is not directly supporting the fast fashion brands and not driving demand.
